Description

Shelter Dimensions:

  • Length x Width: 14’6″ long x 7’7″ wide
  • Height: 6’1” tall

Capacity:

  • Rated for: 20 people

Cell Phone Service:

  • Air vents: Allow full cell phone service when a phone is placed near them

Installation Requirements:

  • Hole size: 9 ft x 17 ft
  • Excess dirt management:
    • Dirt placement: Dirt will be placed next to the hole during digging
    • Excess dirt: Homeowners are responsible for managing leftover dirt after installation
    • Settling process: Extra dirt will be placed on top of the shelter to account for settling
    • Optional haul-away service: Excess dirt can be hauled away at an additional cost, which must be arranged prior to installation

Additional Installation Specifications:

  • Concrete Required: 4 cubic yards of concrete are required, delivered by a concrete truck. Therefore, we need clear access to the property for the vehicle. We pour the concrete in the bottom of the hole with mesh, creating an 8-inch-thick base with cable coming out of the concrete. Then we set the shelter in the hole and wrap the cables around the shelter. These cables prevent the shelter from floating during flooding.
  • Working Width: 25 feet, preferably 30 feet.
  • Minimum Working Length: Around 30 feet.
  • Installation Process:
    • The shelter is transported onto the property using a mini excavator.
    • In some cases, the shelter may be lifted over a fence to reach the backyard.
    • For wooden fences, typically one panel is removed and reinstalled post-installation.
    • If there is a gate, it and its posts may need to be removed and reinstalled after the installation, incurring additional costs.
  • Site and Location Considerations:
    • Site-specific configurations can vary.
    • The ability to lift the shelter higher can mitigate width restrictions.

Factors Affecting the Price of Shelter Installation

  1. Distance from Sherman, TX (75090):
    • The quoted price assumes a location within 75 miles of Sherman, TX.
    • Additional mileage charges will apply for locations beyond this radius.
    • The extra mileage fee will be quoted based on the specific city of residence within Texas or Louisiana.
  2. Excavation Conditions:
    • Standard Excavation: The quoted price covers excavation to the required depth as specified in the installation plans.
    • Rocky Conditions: If jackhammering is necessary due to rocky conditions to reach the required depth, a $1,000 fee will be added.
      • First Day: The initial $1,000 fee covers one day of jackhammering.
      • Extended Jackhammering: If jackhammering extends into a second day due to unforeseen circumstances or increased complexity, an additional $1,000 fee will be applied.

To ensure accurate pricing, all these factors should be discussed and clarified with the installation company prior to commencing the project.
